Little Billy arrived at Battersea as his owner was too ill to look after him anymore. Billy has lived a sheltered life so is nervous and wary of new people, places and dogs. He is looking for experienced rescue dog owners or people that have dealt with problem dogs before as new owners will need to be able to cope with whatever he may throw at you. Once he knows you Billy is very loving and affectionate but in the past he has become very protective over his owner and therefore he will need to live in a multi-adult household. Billy cannot live with children as he will need to be handled correctly so his problems do not increase. Unfortunately because of his behaviour problems Billy is not suitable for owners wanting a lapdog to spoil and baby, he will need firm and fair groundrules so he knows where he stands. Fine for active retired owners prepared to offer the daily exercise he needs. Billy could be left alone for short periods once he has had a walk. Billy cannot live with other dogs or cats. Previously housetrained and ok in the car but isn't that used to car travel. Fun little guy with Terrier spirit , he just needs to learn to be on his own four paws and be a dog! With experienced owners willing to put the time and effort in to his training Billy will be a loyal and loving addition. If you feel you can offer this feisty fella the home he deserves then please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443.
