Stanley is a 1-2year old Terrier cross who came into Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in November 2005.

Stanley has a typical cheeky Terrier attitude. He can be demanding for attention. He's a bit of a chancer and will run rings around anyone he knows he can wind up but in the right home he will be loads of fun! He was originally referred to the Behaviour Unit because he has some handling issues. Owners will need to keep things on their terms and remain one step ahead of him all the time. Stanley is looking for:

• Semi - rural environment preferred. There must be places close by where he can be exercised, ideally with some quite areas for training


• Experience of owning terriers is essential as he has all the typical traits. Experience of having owned a dog with handling issues would also be advantageous


• An active all adult household - no children to live with or visit due to his handling issues


• Owners will need to have the right attitude when dealing with Stanley - must be calm and patient as he will avoid training if too much pressure is put on him. Many short sessions that are kept light will be best for him
