Smudge

Smudge originally came to Battersea as a young puppy with the rest of his litter as his owner could not find homes for such a large litter of pups. He was rehomed quickly but sadly returned to us recently as his new owners seperated and unfortunately could no longer offer him the time he needed.

Smudge is looking for experienced rescue dog owners or people that have owned similar large guarding breeds to understand his needs and traits. Smudge is still young, he will take time to mature and owners will need to be in control from day one or he will rule the roost!

Strong and active owners are required to keep up and provide Smudge the stimulation needed, he is very energetic and intelligent so gets bored easily and will find his own amusement! Smudge is a comical character that will make you smile, a sense of humour is needed with him!

Unfortunately Smudge cannot live with children, although social he needs a consistent, confident and firm approach, an all adult household is preferred. Boisterous boy who could possibly live with another dog but a similar sized active female only.

Smudge already knows a few commands, he was previously housetrained and traveled well in a car. Being a young dog Smudge cannot be left alone for long periods, he ideally needs owners around the majority of the time to dedicate time to his training.
