The Staffordshire Bull terrier is a very popular breed to come in to Battersea. They come in at all ages and colours, we get in the young juvenile delinquents who are in need of some training to the more mature settled who have been there seen it and done it. They absolutely love being with people and are a very affectionate and loyal breed, they do not like being locked up in our Battersea kennels and unlike most dogs that will bark for your attention they have a very distinctive screech. We are always looking for experienced owners who can handle the more robust and boisterous types that do come in to the home. Due to the breed they don't always do well sharing a home with other dogs. They are a breed, which do well in a family home with children of all ages, however we are a rescue and will have some that we cannot put in a home with young children or even teenagers.
