Poppy is a 1-2 year old female Jack Russell Terrier cross who came to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in November 2005.
Poppy is a bouncy, energetic, friendly dog who is besotted with toys and will do anything for them. She's smart and well mannered with her human companions but finds it a little harder with other dogs. Although she doesn't actively look for trouble, Poppy has shown a low tolerance towards other dogs and spent time with the Behaviour Unit at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. The Behaviour Unit have been working with Poppy and owners must be willing to follow an ongoing training programme advised by the team. Poppy is a fantastic dog that, with dedicated owners and in the right home environment, will make a wonderful companion.
Poppy is looking for:
- A semi-rural or rural environment with low dog population
- A home with no other dogs
- A calm, adult household
- A home with no children, although older teens will be considered
