P.J

P.J was brought in to Battersea as a stray so we have limited information regarding his past, he has been a loving, energetic and scatty addition since his arrival so needs owners prepared for a lively Lurcher. He will make an affectionate and loyal companion, owners will just need to give him time to settle. 

Ideally P.J is looking for owners who have owned dogs before, Knowledge or experience of Lurchers or similar sighthounds would be an advantage as he does like to chase and will need owners who can cope with this side of the breed. Unfortunately P.J cannot live with children, teenagers would be considered.

P.J has had little or no training in the past so will need time dedicated to this initially, this may include housetraining. P.J will need time to settle before he can be left on his own, he is a young and active dog so may not like being left on his own for long periods. P.J is bright and when focused he is trainable and willing to please.

P.J is social with other dogs but his favourite game is to chase which not all dogs or owners will like, new owners will need to have good control off lead and teach him a reliable recall quickly. He could possibly live with a similar sized female who will be a good role model but unfortunately he cannot live with cats.
