Nero is a 1 to 2 year old, male entire German Shepherd cross that arrived at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in February 2007.

An active, outgoing lad with great workable motivations, Nero can get ahead of himself at times and will need to be taught ground rules and learn some self control. Although brash at times and keen to push the boundaries, he is responsive and very trainable. A vibrant, larger than life character that will keep you on your toes and provide many funny moments along the way! Nero will need:

• Owners that have had experience with strong-willed young characters (ideally working types) before and show a good understanding of how to maintain them in a household


• An adult only household is needed due to his need for consistency in training. Older teens may be considered depending on experience


• Ideally, Nero's new owners will be active and look to channel Nero's great motivations into constructive outlets and activities


• Nero will need a semi rural to rural location with a fairly low dog population, as he is easily distracted by other dogs

Nero will need some further training in his new home. To receive advice and guidance regarding this training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with him, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
