Missy is a 7 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier who came to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in May 2006 by her owners as they were unable to look after her. Although initially aloof and independent, just a bit of time spent with this girl will turn her into a giggly, affectionate dog. She was referred to the Behaviour Unit in order to investigate her behaviours around other dogs, especially other females.   Missy is looking for:

• Owners who have previous experience of bull breeds and owning bitches before


• Ideally potential owners would have had experience of dogs that have shown to be jealous around other dogs before 


• Missy wil need a semi rural or rural home with garden in a low dog-populated area


• Unfortunately Missy cannot live with other dogs due to intolerance and jealousy issues


• No children or visiting children but older teens may be considered


• It is unknown how Missy will interact with cats and this will need to be explored further.

Missy is looking for owners who provide her with both mental and physical stimulation, consistency in her routine and the guidance that she needs. Missy is at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home London. To receive advice and guidance regarding her training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with her, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
