Minty is a 1-2 year old Rottweiler cross Basset and he was brought into Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in April 2006 as his owners no longer had the time to devote to him. Minty is a real character, confident, self-assured and despite appearances thinks he is a purebred Rottweiler! He really enjoys being around people, but likes to test the boundaries to see what he can get away with! He loves his food and toys and isn't keen to give them back, where upon he can display some possessive behaviours.

Minty is looking for:

• Owners with experience of Rottweilers, and are confident in dealing with Minty's behavioural problems.


• Owners who will have the time to continue with a consistent training programme with Minty.


• A household in a quiet out of town location, with plenty of access to exercise areas.


• An adult household, older teenagers may be considered, depending on experience.


• Minty could live with another dog, preferably an older, maturer female that will teach Minty some manners and that has no possessive issues.
