Mia is a lively, energetic 1 year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who arrived at Battersea as a stray in December 2007.

Mia is typical of most bull breeds as she is always full of energy and has a great appetite for fun. She is very enthusiastic about everyone & everything, but this can often lead to her being boisterous with people and other dogs. Mia is an intelligent youngster who can be demanding for attention at times & often becomes mouthy & sometimes vocal, so she will need active, experienced owners who won't reinforce these behaviours & teach her to be calm. She will happily work for food or toys and has great focus on her handler, so has great potential for the right owners who have plenty of time for training.

Mia Needs:-

- Owners who are experienced with lively Staffordshire Bull Terriers & are prepared for lots of training

- A large home with her own garden, in a rural or semi-rural environment.

- A home without any other dogs but she will benefit from some calm, well mannered doggy friends who can teach her good manners.

- Owners who are at home most of the time & have plenty of time for training & exercise.

- An adult household only due to her tendency to become mouthy when excited.

There will never be a dull moment when Mia is around & this feisty young lady will make a fantastically rewarding companion.

If you think you can offer Mia the loving home she deserves, please email Louise at [email protected] or call the Rehoming line on 0207 627 9234.

Mia will need some further training in her new home. To receive advice and guidance regarding this training from the Battersea staff that have worked with her, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
