Maisie was brought to Battersea as her elderly owner went in to a care home, a family member brought her in to us so sadly we have very little information on her. Do not be fooled by her cute looks, Maisie is nervous and under-socialised so really will need the correct handling and training to prevent her becoming more problematic in her behaviour.

Maisie has the potential to become territorial and protective over her house and anything she classes as high value, this includes her owners. Whilst Maisie is friendly with people once she knows you she will need experienced rescue dog owners or people that have dealt with similar behaviour problems.

It appears Maisie has had little or no training in the past, she is not used to car travel and is not fully housetrained, she will need patient owners to dedicate time to this training. Due to the amount of work needed and her anxious nature Maisie cannot be left alone at this stage and will need owners around the majority of the day.

Maisie cannot live with children, she will need to live in an all adult household where she will recieve a consistent approach. As with most areas of life Maisie has not recieved training or socialising around other dogs, she could possibly live with another dog but it must be a positive role-model.

Maisie is a true rescue dog needing active and experienced rescue dog owners, if you feel she is the dog for you please contact the rehoming team at Old Windsor on 01784 494443, apply online or email us on [email protected]
