Looking for equally lively owners to help Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to rehome unloved Lurchers and Greyhounds in our care. We presently have male and female Lurchers and Greyhounds ,of all sizes and age groups. Hounds make great pets and with a bit of guidance and training, can be loving and fun companions. Battersea does have general rehoming criteria and aim to place our Lurchers and Greyhounds in pet homes, so if you're a match with the type of home we are looking for please contact us.

• It would be an advantage to have had a dog before or owners with previous experience of Greyhounds, Lurchers or Lurcher types are ideal.
  
• While we have dogs that may suit older children (10 years and upwards) we will consider younger children depending on experience.
  
• Semi-rural or rural environment are preferred, however we will consider suburbs or town location as some hounds can happily live in any location.
  
• Believe it or not some Lurchers and Greyhounds can live quite happily with cats and some definitly cannot!
  
• We are looking for owners with enthusiasm to train, socialise and exercise (particularly with recall training).
  
• Please note the number of rough coated or long haired lurchers and whippets is low at the moment and they are in high demand too.
