Katie

Katie is a 6 month old mongrel that came into the Home in May 2008 as a stray.

She is a very intelligent girl with heaps of potential for training and is extremely responsive to her handler. Katie has shown a few chase related issues but with the right guidance at this stage her chase instinct could be easily channelled into something more constructive.  She can be called away from something she is chasing easily and is very motivated by attention from people and food.

Katie is looking for:

?  Owners who have dealt with chase related issues previously and worked through/manage it successfully

?  Owners who can channel her chase drive into something constructive and keep her both mentally and physically stimulated

?  Katies requires an adult household, due to consistency needed in training. However older teens may considered dependent on experience attitude and expectations

?  A home in a semi-rural or rural environment with quiet exercise areas so training can be achieved without there being too many distractions

?  A house with a private, enclosed garden for burn offs and initial training

?  Katie has been cat tested and could potentially live with a confident cat
