When Julian arrived at Battersea he was quite a worrier, but a month into his stay he has really developed and shown us more of his true character. This was no doubt related to having some unwanted ingrown eyelashes removed which were causing some discomfort, hence the 'panda eyes' at the moment.

Essentially Julian is a big, laid-back and lazy boy who appears to take it all in his stride, but underneath it all is quite sensitive. Julian is social with the staff around the home and will bond very closely to new owners, and can actually get quite cheeky once he knows you.

Although he is a rather cool looking dude, he can be quick to rise to panic if he is put into a situation with a challenging or very boisterous dog. This seems to stem from a lack of socialising or a bad experience in the past. He would rather ignore other dogs and do his own thing. For this reason Julian is looking for a semi-rural/rural setting where any interactions can be controlled.

Potential owners MUST have had experience with Rotti's or similar previously, and have natural leadership qualities. This is a big, male, rescue rotti who needs firm but fair guidance. In the right hands he will no doubt make a devoted companion.
