Indie is a 2-3 year old female Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross who arrived at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in July 2006.

Fun, bouncy and with an inexhaustible amounts of energy, Indie can sometimes forget her manners in the midst of all that excitement! She can be over the top, nipping at clothing, and is looking for owners who can channel all that energy constructively. Indie will suit a calm yet active household who will provide outlets for both mental and physical stimulation and yet also promote calm, chill out sessions. Indie has shown good motivations for both food and toys and these can be utilised for training.

Indie is looking for:

• Owners who have experience with over excited dogs and bull breeds


• Owners who are willing to follow an ongoing training programme and be prepared to listen to advice from the Behaviour Unit at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home


• A calm yet active adult household with no children due to her over the top, excitable behaviours


• Although a little full on initially, Indie is good with other dogs and reads other dogs well. She could live with another dog (preferable not another bull breed) if they are a good match


• A semi-rural or rural environment due to her being easily distracted and hyped up by joggers with a garden for training

To receive advice and guidance regarding this training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with her, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
