Francis is a 6-12 month old, male, Labrador cross who came to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in May 2006.

Friendly, Lively and affectionate, Francis is a young active lad with a sharp mind. Francis doesn't read other dog's body language very well and spent time with the Behaviour Unit at Battersea to work on improving his socialising skills. Owners must be willing to follow an ongoing training programme advised by the Behaviour team at Battersea to keep him mentally and physically stimulated. A typical Labrador, Francis loves his food and new owners can use this as motivation for training. Young, bright and active, Francis picks up new things really quickly, and with the right approach, will make a super dog.

Francis is looking for:

• A semi rural/rural location with low dog populated areas as Francis needs to maintain focus when out and about


• Experienced owners who have owned a range of different dogs before


• Could live with another dog, possibly a mature female, who Francis can interact with, but must be a suitable match


• Children 12 years and older who are used to dogs will be considered


• Enthusiastic owners who are willing to dedicate time to training
