Fantastic Fay

Fay is a young and beautiful dog with a fantastic character, she has been looking for a new home since August 05 but sadly she has not had much interest which we cannot understand as she is such a great dog. We do not have any back ground information on Fay as she came in as a stray but a member of staff has fostered her and we now have more details to give new owners. Fay is boisterous at times and has lots of energy, she will need owners prepared for this side of her character and can keep up with her. Fay is a happy girl, full of fun and willing to please you, Fay just needs pointing in the right direction. We believe that Fay may be a German shepherd cross, she has many of the breed traits, as she is loyal, loving, devoted and intelligent, so people who love German shepherds or similar types will love her and her zest for life. Since arriving at Battersea Fay has had some basic training and can walk well on a lead but can be strong at times so this will need a little work. Fay is housetrained and travels well in a car. Being a young dog Fay cannot be left for long, she has been crate trained at Battersea and seems to love her den as she feels secure so if new owners continued to use a crate we feel she would be happy to be left for short periods. Fine for visiting children but can only live with teenagers who can actively help with training. Fay is social with other dogs and could possibly live with a mature male that can cope with her bouncy moments. Having some German Shepherd traits Fay can be chase orientated and therefore cannot live with cats as she will chase them. Being full of energy and playful Fay will need active owners to provide her with the stimulation she needs, she is not ideal for the less active owner. Fay is a fantastic dog with so much potential and with experienced owners who will help and guide her in life we are sure she will be a loyal and loving companion.
