Elm was born here in Battersea Dogs Home in May 2004.  He has been at Battersea ever since. His mum was a bull terrier cross and he has been neutered.  Despite his lack of home life he has lots of potential as he learns fast and is very responsive. Elm has grown up in kennels and this has meant he has had a lot of competition from all the dogs around him. Because of this Elm needs understanding and training from his new owners. Elm is looking for:

• Owners who have experience with large breeds and have had young rescue males before.


• Owners who are willing to follow an ongoing training programme.


• Active lifestyle with time to initially invest in giving the guidance Elm needs.


• A semi-rural or rural environment to gently socialise him.


• An adult household without any children.


• It would be preferable if Elm didn't live with other dogs but will need doggie friends.
