Breeds used to develop the Dobermann included the German Shepherd Dog, Rottweiler, German Pinscher and Greyhound.
With such an impressive mix the resultant dogs incorporated an ability to possess strength and speed with a loyal nature and impressive stature.
Battersea sees Dobermann dogs on a regular basis due to various reasons similar to many other breeds.
Typically, they are strong and powerful and need to have plenty of appropriate activities to keep them mentally and physically stimulated.
Not a breed to be considered lightly, continued training is important to make sure they are a well adjusted member of society. Dobermanns still retain their loyal nature but need owners who possess strong enough characters to accommodate their needs.
