Charlie is a youngster in need of some guidance and ground rules ? he is a 6-12 month old Labrador cross Collie who has been at Battersea Dogs Home since January 2005. He will jump up at people but will settle if he is ignored. He hasn't got much interest in toys at the moment but is food motivated. He has the potential to become food possessive, so new owners must be confident and able to follow a food programme. He is quite boisterous around other dogs and his new home will be given lots of advice on training.

Charlie is looking for a semi rural home with a garden and good exercise facilities nearby. A new home with experience of dogs with possession issues would be preferred. He can't live with children or have children visiting but sensible teens who can follow a training programme will be considered.

New owners must be prepared for any house training and separation problems which might occur and people who are around all day at first to help build up his confidence will be required.

Charlie is a bright young lad who must have ground rules which all family members must adhere to. He will be a great companion with the right training.
