Chance

Chance was brought in to Battersea by his owner as he was not comfortable around the children in the home. Chance is a sensitive soul and is looking for a quieter home without young children involved, older teenagers would be considered. In his most recent home Chance was housetrained, travelled well in a car  and could be left for short periods.

The Smooth Collie was bred to herd and protect sheep or cattle so esentially this is a working breed with plenty of energy. As with most Collie breeds their history has ensured that they bond quickly to their family and are loyal companions. Chance ideally needs owners who has owned Smooth Collies, Rough Collies or similar high energy working breeds.

Chance is very intelligent and energetic he will need active and outdoor loving owners who can provide enough daily mental and physical stimulation. Most Collies make ideal dogs to participate in agility, obedience, flyball or similar doggy sports, they have a willingness to please which makes them well suited to these kind of activities.

Unfortunately Chance is not compatible to live with cats and would ideally prefer a home without other dogs although we would consider a female if right match. Chance already knows a few basic commands and is trainable but owners will need to be patient as Collies can be willful, a firm but fair approach is needed or they will refuse to do anything!
