Bounsir

Bounsir (pronounced Bouncer) was brought in to Battersea as his owner couldn't cope with a very active puppy and young children. Bounsir is highly energetic and intelligent but unfortunately he is also stubborn so owners will need to be patient while training him.

Ideally Bounsir is looking for experienced dog owners who have owned Collies, Spaniels or similar active types, he has traits of both these breeds and will need confident people able to deal with whatever he may throw at you.

In his previous home Bounsir was housetrained, travelled well in a car and knew some basic commands. He will need further training, especially recall work as the Spaniel nose takes over at times and he is distracted by all the scents around. Once settled Bounsir could be left for short periods, due to his age and energy levels Bounsir may be prone to chewing if bored or not given enough stimulation.

Bounsir is very confident and over the top around other dogs, he ideally needs to be the only dog as owners will need to dedicate lots of time initially to Bounsir and his training. Being a strong dog he cannot live with young children, experienced teenagers would be considered.
