Boomer has had an eventful past few months. After initally being rehomed from Battersea after his first arrival, he came in to receive treatment for chronic eye infection, but sadly had to have his eye removed. He returned home but due to the stress of it all was very unsettled, creating havoc in the home.
Boomer came back into Battersea and has re-settled into kennel life very well. And its no wonder with the special treatment he has been receiving. To give Boomer time out from kennels he has been recruited as personal aide to the Chief Executive.
He now spends his days in her office, keeping an eye on things (pardon the pun), sleeping under the desk, and attending various meetings. Boomer has proved to be very adaptable, going to different places, and being placed in various situations, from informal meetings to Committee Meetings. So long as he can occasionally check in on Jan, he is happy to work the room, or sleep in a corner.
Boomer did come in with some behavioural history relating to seperation anxiety. He has been happy enough to be left alone for short periods in the office, but in the home environment a programme will need to be followed to ensure his anxiety does not reach such a level as previously.
Boomer is a fantastic dog, sweet, gentle and loving. He could live older children who have experience around dogs. He is not happy sharing his home with another dog, although is sociable out and about.
This is a dog in a million, and will make a loyal and devoted companion.
If you think you could offer Boomer the life he deserves please either come into the Home to register, or call 0207 627 9234.
