Bonny came in to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home at the end of April 2006. She is a 6-12 month-old female Lurcher.
Bonny is a confidant, playful cheeky girl inside and a petrified wreck on the outside. She has a manipulative side to her personality and acts fearful and worried, especially when she is outside on a lead. Don't be fooled! Whilst Bonny is anxious when outside and tries to hide under every bush and shrub she can find, she can walk perfectly well on a lead when prompted. Bonny was seen by the Behaviour Unit for her possessive behaviours over food and toys and her seemingly agoraphobic behaviours when outside and this has been worked on by the team. Bonny needs owners that will build her confidence yet not pander to her manipulating behaviours. Young, bright and affectionate Bonny will make a fantastic pet in the right home. Bonny is looking for:
- A mature, adult household with no children or visiting children as Bonny needs consistency with her training
- A large secure garden in a quiet environment to overcome her agoraphobia
- Experienced owners who are willing to follow an ongoing training programmed advised by the Behaviour team at Battersea
- Could live with a confident male dog if a good match is found
