Bobby

Bobby was brought to Battersea as a stray, he is only a youngster but already fairly tall so will need a large home and garden to accomadate him. (Will probably be normal German Shepherd size when fully grown)  Bobby has a fantastic nature and will make you laugh everyday with his clown like antics, a sense of humour is needed and most definately not for the house proud owner! Ideally Bobby is looking for experienced owners who have owned large boisterous dogs before or similar breeds to understand his needs. Bobby is a bit of a charmer and thinks his cute looks will get him anything he wants, new owners will need patience and a consistent approach to his training. Has been tested with cats and unfortunately cannot live with cats, he will chase and is too much! Bobby loves other dogs but can be boisterous and rough in his play at times, he can also get frustrated when on lead. He would benefit from having a circle of doggy pals that he can go out with regularly to burn off some of his energy, Bobby could possibly live with an active older adult female that can cope with him. Due to his boisterous nature Bobby cannot live with young children as he is liable to knock people over if they are small or frail, confident teenagers would be considered that can help with the training needed. Bobby is only a puppy and gets bored easily, he will also bond quickly to his owners so cannot be left alone for long periods. Bobby is now learning to walk well on a lead using a head-collar, he is well behaved on this and easier to control so we advise new owners continue with the use of this. Once fully grown Bobby would excell in doggy sports like flyball, agility or similar activities as he is so lively and enjoys running around.
