Beautiful Bex

Bex was brought to Battersea by his owners as he wasn't getting on with one of the other dogs at home. Bex is a large dog and sadly he has had little interest in the 6 months he has been with us, could you offer this gentle giant a new home? Bex is looking for an experienced owner used to similar large breeds, he is a strong dog needing similar confident owners.

Bex can be strong on lead but is now walking well if using a headcollar, we advise new owners continue with the use of this. Bex is an affectionate dog who loves meeting people, he will make a loving and loyal addition once settled in his new home. Unfortunately Bex cannot live with children or cats, also due to his history and lack of socialisation he cannot live with another dog.

Bex was not socialised with other dogs in the past so lacked some social skills but is improving all the time and will happily mix with other dogs when out and about on walks. Bex is sound sensitive and has always lived in a rural area so is ideally looking for a large home with a garden in a similar environment where he will have plenty of space to potter about in.

In his previous home Bex was housetrained, traveled ok in a car and could be left alone after a good walk with no problems. Due to the amount of time he has now spent in kennels he may need reminding of his housetraining and time to settle before being left alone. Although Bex is 8 years of age he still has plenty of energy and enjoys his walks so will need owners who can provide this.
