Barney is a 1 -2 years old male mongrel, who came to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in August 2007. This is his second stay at the dogs home he was brought back to us due to being distructive when left. Lively and boisterous, Barney is a young dog going through the adolescent stage of questioning everything and pushing every boundary.  He is a smart dog with good motivations for food and toys, which owners can use to their advantage.  Larger than life Barney will be really rewarding for owners prepared to work on his training. Barney is looking for:

• Owners who have experience with attention demanding dogs and prepared for training 


• A semi-rural or rural house with a garden for training and burn offs


• An adult only household, without any children due to his over boisterous nature and sometimes pushy character.


• A home with limited leaving hours as he can be destructive when left


• A home with no other dogs as Barney can be pushy, over the top and a general pest Barney would however benefit from being socialised with some doggy friends.


• Barney is not suited to living in a household with cats

To receive advice and guidance regarding her training from the Behaviour Unit staff that have worked with him, potential owners should be prepared to come into the Dogs Home for a minimum of two visits.
