Missie and her 5 kittens came to the home as her owner could not cope with all the cats in the home and with a new baby on the way, the problem was only going to become worse. As soon as Missie entered the cattery it became very apparent very quickly that other cats were not going to be Missies favourite thing. Although Missie has a very obvious hatred for other cats she is overall a very sweet and affectionate cat, except for when she spies another cat around. She then becomes very defensive and aggressive towards the other cats, and will stalk the pens until she finds someone she can upset.
Once you have her attention away from prying eyes of the other cats here she loves to chat to you and enjoys being the center of attention. She is always happy to have a fuss and does not mind being picked up. Missey is always going to be on edge here and cannot relax completely as there is so many cats here, once in a home and on her own she should hopefully calm down as Missy can be quite vocally demanding here, and is not getting the full attention she thinks she deserves. She was a lap cat in the previous home and has lived with a varied age of children with no behavioural problems.
Missie has now been neutered and is looking for the following in a new home:
- Owners who have cats in the family before
- Active Household, who will not leave her a working day
- Semi-rural environment with a low cat population
- Missie could live with children possibly as young as 6 years
- Not to live with other animals now or in the future.
