Jess was originally rehomed from Battersea in 2003 after a stay of only a few weeks. However, four years on, the fact that she is now ten or eleven years old means that this charming, well-rounded girl has been with us for over four months.
Naturally, our longer stay cats do get awarded special privileges and extra time out of their pens, but it is no substitute for the comforts of a real home.
Jess was brought back because her people had a new baby and we feel it would be unfair to Jess to put her in that position again. Therefore we are looking for an adult home where there will be no likelihood of this, in her lifetime at least.
This independent girl would be quite happy to be left on her own while her people are out at work as long as she can have some kind of outside access, be it a garden, roof terrace or good sized balcony.
Although she is not to live with other cats, she could possibly live with a well-behaved dog who knows that cats rule.
If you think that you could offer Jess a permanent home, please come in to Battersea to register or leave a message for Ros on 020 7627 9234 or email: [email protected].
Prospective owners will need to speak to a Battersea vet prior to rehoming.
Please note that there are many cats in the Home and in our satellite sites and we are only able to feature a small selection on the web.
