Kenny unfortunately doesn't seem to cope very well in kennels due to his very active mind. He is currently being fostered in a home to give him some time away from the kennels so that his true personality can shine through. Kenny will need basic training as (he currently knows no commands). Kenny is looking for new owners with a large house and garden with some previous collie type experience. He is an affectionate and needy dog who will not be able to stay on his own too long initially. Kenny is looking to live with older teens. With the right home Kenny will make a loyal and life long companion.

Kenny's Doggy Diary - March 2004
'Hi, I'm Kenny and as you can see from my picture I am a rather dashing dog!
My foster family have been absolutely fabulous. I do so many things like meeting and greeting people and dogs, playing with my toys, going to work and my favourite, eating!
I can be rather boisterous when I say hello to people and I do jump up quite a bit but my foster family are helping me to stop doing this. They say not everyone likes muddy paw prints on their clothes!
It doesn't matter if they are big people or little people, I like most people, but I do have a knack of telling which people are doggy people and which are not. The doggy people like to say hello back and will ask me to sit so I don't jump up. The non-doggy people don't want to stroke me and look rather miffed as though they are willing me to go away! I can take the hint though so I leave these people be.
I've met little people as young as 4 and apart from having to keep an eye on my tail ( it gets very waggy when I am happy! ) I have been fine.
Getting my foster family to play games with me is something I do regularly. They sometimes ignore me so I go off and play by myself or have a nap. I heard them saying it's good for me to know I won't get attention all the time and that's fine by me.
Well, it's time for my supper so I'll be off. Stay tuned for more updates though!

Kenny's Doggy Diary - April 2004
'Hello again!
I've got the afternoon off today and am having a relax before checking things out in the home. My foster dad regularly takes me along to his work where I meet lots of people and chill in my bed.
Everyone is out at the moment but I know they'll be back in a while. I don't mind spending time by myself. Usually, I make sure everything is where it should be then check out some interesting smells. I even find treasure sometimes hidden around the place; a few of my biscuits or a stuffed Kong to occupy myself with.
The other day I found a sock and decided to have a game which was fun because when I ran off, I though my foster parents would chase me. They didn't though but they did swop the sock for my ragga toy which I love. I'm learning now that they won't chase me at all so I'll leave that to my doggy friends in the park!
Well, I'm going to have a nap now and look forward to a run in the park later with my foster dad. See you later!'
