Cat came to Battersea in July 2002 as a stray. To further our knowledge about Cat she came and stayed with us in the rehab department for a few weeks. During her stay there the rehab team was able to investigate her behaviour and learn more about her lovely character.

We would like her owners to be experienced with either Staffordshire bull terriers or have experience of overcoming lead and chase issues. You will need to be enthusiastic and committed about training and adhering to the behaviour programs that will be provided.

Cat is definitely a dog that enjoys her toys and food. Some of the behaviour programs we will provide revolve around how to best utilise these motivations and prevent them from becoming out of control.

We would prefer Cat to live in a semi-rural environment. Ideally where parks and exercise areas aren't to populated with other dogs. She will need steady "doggy" friends to help her stay social but quiet areas to train and learn in. The rehab department will assist you with the initial introductions.

Cat would prefer not to live with children but she could live with teenagers who have had hands on experience of dogs. She is too over-excitable and active for younger children and would be better off with adult guidance.

Cat is a dog that is in need of high mental and physical stimulation. The rehab department will provide you with tips on how to achieve this in a positive and fun way!!

If you feel that you can offer Cat the home environment that she needs then please come in and see us!
