Poor Buster came in to us scared stiff. It has taken him and us sometime to help him adjust to life in the home. We found out that Buster is very nervous of men and it takes him sometime to relax around them, but given time he becomes trusting and will enjoy lots of affection. Around women he is fine and defiantly enjoys their company a lot more. The ideal situation for Buster is a home with experience of wary dogs, with more than one adult in the house to help share responsibility for him and at least one of those members MUST be a man in order to help him build up confidence round men. Due to his nervous edge we feel he will need to live in a quite area preferably in a semi rural area in a home with a garden so he can have his own safe space, and he should only live with teenaged children only. He really enjoys the company of other dogs, he will interact and play and generally feels more confident with them around.
Buster will make a wonderful and loyal dog in the right hands. All he wants is time and patients of new owners in order for him to feel safe and happy in his new home.
